Thomas Dennett RIP
Saturday 31st of December 2022
We lost a very talented young player (aged 18) during the festive period and with the blessing of his parents we intend hosting a minute's applause before the Bottesford game to celebrate his life. Our players will also wear black arm bands. Mr & Mrs Dennett will be in attendance as club guests.
Thomas joined North Ferriby Youth at the age of 6 and went through to the U17s.
Thomas was a talented footballer with a fantastic attitude, a massively popular figure within the youth set up and will be a great loss to everyone at the club.
Thomas aquired the nickname 'Butcher' because of his relentless hard tackling but he was actually a player that could play in any positon including Goalkeeper.
Over the 10 years with the club Thomas played over 500 games in the Green and White Shirt and was part of a team that was East Riding Futsal Champions for 3 years running and represented the East Riding League in 3 NationalFutsal Finals.
Thomas was an avid supporter of the North Ferriby First Team and the Development team and was always at the home games.
There will be a minutes applause before the Bottesford game on Monday 2nd January 3pm kick off for Thomas and the players will be wearing black armbands in respect to Thomas.
The club extends its sincere condolences and our thoughts are with the Dennett family, Tom will be greatly missed by all.
