Garforth Town VS North Ferriby

North Ferriby Football Club were dealt their maiden defeat of the 2026/27 campaign following a two nil defeat to Garforth Town at the BD Community Stadium

In an overall tame game of football, an early goal once again occurred, this time however, it wasn’t the Villagers, as Murat Al Jahadhmy put the hosts ahead after eight minutes.

From there, little opportunity came for either team, the first for Ferriby came midway through the half as Lucas Robinson showcased his worth with a tidy move out on the left, seeing his strike go over the woodwork.

A sprinkling of opportunites came and went, until Ferriby saw a prime opportunity come with less than ten remaining; Charlie Carlisle did fantastically well to get in a goal scoring position, only to see his effort just off target.

Ferriby applied their pressure in the final moments but ended up at the break a goal down.

A new half of football dawned and the Villagers began to piece together some nice, attractive football, yet the equaliser they craved remained elusive.

The Villagers saw a fierce strike denied by Harry Flatters just after the hour before some strong defending kept Garforth from their second goal of the night.

The Villagers intent on grabbing an equaliser continued, yet it remained elusive and once again at the opposing end Jonathan Dash kept the game alive.

Ferriby’s spirited performance continued as they once again piled the pressure on Garforth late in the half, but the games second goal went Garforth’s way shortly before the final whistle.
