North Ferriby VS Bradford (Park Avenue) FC

North Ferriby secured a second straight league victory as they brushed past a solid Bradford Park Avenue at the Dransfield Stadium.

For the second time this week, a solid team performance ensued as the villagers corrected the wrongs of the opening day defeat to tonight’s opponents.

As with Saturday’s display, the villagers offered a solid start before Park Avenue rattled the woodwork with the games first clear cut chance.

The half continued with a spell of tug of war with both searching for that opening salvo, and it would be Ferriby who’d claim after Kieron Ceesay rifled in to the bottom corner.

Approaching the break, Ben Bottomley produced an array of impressive saves to keep the visitors at bay whilst the villager narrowly missed for two-nil four minutes from time.

It was a new half, and the apparent tug of war would ensue. Park Avenue were unable to convert after two minutes of the restart whilst Ferriby lacked the final product.

A multitude of opportunity came without conversion and Ben Bottomley added to his already impressive collection of saves to keep Ferriby in it.

Approaching the final ten, Park Avenue should have levelled but it wasn’t to be as they headed over the bar from six yards.

A prime opportunity for the villagers came with minutes left as they caught Park Avenue on the break, Kieron Ceesay producing a thunderous strike only to be denied.
