North Ferriby VS Dunston

North Ferriby secured an impressive league double over Dunston UTS following a fantastic game of football at the Dransfield Stadium.

After entering the break in stalemate, Ferriby grasped the initiative with Tom Corner and Danny East claiming the accolades for a well-earned three points.

An impressive opening fifteen saw the Villagers have Dunston under the cosh with Tom Corner unlucky not to score.

Two huge opportunities at either end soon followed, yet the lead remained elusive. Ferriby were unfortunate not to have the lead on twenty-three minutes after a Dennett rocket was flicked toward goal, landing just wide.

The sway off the game began to change in favour of the visitors in the later stages of the half yet we headed into the break on even terms.

It was a new half, but a familiarity ensued as the visitors had the opportunity to take the lead, nodding just wide from a corner kick.

The only thing the game lacked at this point was a goal, and all roads lead east as Ferriby took the initiative once more with Danny East netting.

Dunston pressed once again, and were unfortunate on the hour after rattling the woodwork before Louis Kirk cleared the danger.

Ferriby saw a little daylight twenty minutes from time as Tom Corner extended the Villagers lead from a corner kick.

Dunston weren’t to settle at that and subsequently pulled a goal back twenty minutes from time with a well taken strike.

Some entertaining football followed with Ben Bottomley producing some fantastic goalkeeping to keep the Dunston attack at bay.
