Match Report
Liversedge VS North Ferriby
Chris Bolder’s villagers failed to make it four straight league victories following a one-nil defeat at the Leading-Edge Clayborn Stadium against Liversedge.
With the game firmly underway, Ferriby had started brightly and took an early opportunity after Jack Walters fizzed an effort narrowly wide of the post.
The good football continues for the villagers as they began to utilise the right wing and Josh Whiteley effectively, yet the goals remains elusive.
With the minutes passing, it became more of a defensive affair for the villagers as the sedge enjoyed a decent passage late in the half.
It was a new half but a similar story for the villagers, early opportunity came and went once more for the visiting outfit.
As we approached the mid point of the second forty-five, you could sense there wouldn’t be much between the two, and inevitably what would be the only goal of the game came for the hosts on 66 minutes.
From the goal, the villagers pressed with intent and we’re denied a clear penalty opportunity in the later moments after a strong handball shout was waved away.
With what could have changed the tie came a prime opportunity for the hosts to double their lead after a one v one against Ben Bottomley ended in nothing for the sedge.
