Stocksbridge Park Steels VS North Ferriby
North Ferriby failed in their quest to return to winning ways after a second straight Northern Premier League East Division defeat at the Bracken Moor Stadium.
The Villagers drop to sixth following a dismal day at the office that also saw the East Yorkshire outfit fail to get on the score sheet for only the second time in 2024/25.
It was evident from the off that Chris Bolder’s side were a shadow of their former selves of late, and the hosts began well, immediately pressing the Villagers back line.
With Stocksbridge very much on the front foot, inevitably they found the opening goal they’d craved ten minutes from the break after Alex Hardwick rippled the back of the net.
It was a new half and all to do for the visitors. However, the Ferriby never seemed to find their groove, denying Stocksbridge a second after clearing of the line.
Shortly after the hour, Stocksbridge grabbed their second of the afternoon when Chris Turner found the back of the net. Two then became three, four minutes later courtesy of James Morris.
Changes were made in attempt to find a way back in to the game, but the hosts allowed nothing, denying Ferriby at every turn.
Three minutes from time and it was game over, Oliwier Grzelak made it four nil and put Stocksbridge out of sight
