Match Report
Ossett United VS North Ferriby
The Villagers claimed their third Northern Premier League East Division victory of 2024/25 in their their third away fixture at Ingfield Stadium
A solid first half performance an early Ossett lead overturned as Lewis Dennison and Sam Aynsley both starred and scored to help the villagers on their way to victory.
With the game underway the villagers were caught a little off guard after Lewis Richardson’s sixth minute goal saw the hosts in front.
A response was warranted from the villagers, and a response came through Sam Aynsley moments after the hosts opening goal.
The villagers found themselves ahead midway through the opening half after Lewis Dennison tippled the back of the net.
A strong performance from the villagers continued as multiple opportunities came and went for the visitors, James Cadman and Denno looking particularly dangerous.
It was a new half but A different story looked to etch itself on the tie but to no avail, the hosts went on the offensive early doors but were unable to find a way through.
The Villagers soon resettled and went about their business, a Cadman/Whiteley combination almost saw the visitors lead extend albeit Whiteley being unable to latch on to the Cadman assist.
The final ten came in to play and that third goal the villagers craved eventually came eight minutes from time after a lovely ball in from the right competed a Dennison brace.
An eventful end to the tie saw the villagers continue in a similar manner, however, Ossett had the ball in the net four minutes from time only to be denied by a foul in the build up.
