North Ferriby FC put Easter Monday’s defeat at Bridlington behind them as they blew Stocksbridge away with a brilliant first half performance. All four goals coming in the opening 45 minutes. Levi Tarbotton opened the scoring a with fifteen minutes on the clock. The midfielder collected the ball 25 yards out and hit an impressive shot that caught Ben Townsend out. Josh Whiteley had a couple of chances to add to the scoresheet. First, Townsend pulled off a good save to deny the Ferriby attacker. Secondly, an effort was deflected just wide of the Stocksbridge goal. The Villagers would double their tally in the first half. The energetic Josh Whiteley ran at the Stocksbridge defence and saw his shot deflected. The ball bounced to Tom Corner who was on hand to put the ball past Townsend. The Villagers would add a third before the half was up. Danny Earl took on several Stocksbridge and found Amir Berchil. Berchil crossed the ball into the area and Levi Tarbotton powered a header past Townsend. Stocksbridge would grab a goal back before the half was up. Alex O’Connor heading past Tom Jackson.
McCauley Snelgrove tried an overhead kick in the second half which was held by Townsend. Tom Jackson made a good save to deny the visitors from getting a way back into the game. Jackson was called upon again to keep the visitors at bay with a great low save down in the bottom corner. The visitors would be reduced to ten men when Tom Charlesworth was given a second booking after a rash challenge on Amir Berchil.
