Pocklington Town VS North Ferriby


North Ferriby FC earn their passage into the East Riding Senior Cup Final with a 2-1 victory over Pocklington. The Villagers had to travel to Pocklington after the pitch at the Roy West Centre was waterlogged. Chris Bolder’s side needed a second half header from substitute Tom Corner to see off their Humber Premier League opponents. Chris Bolder was forced to make numerous changes to Saturdays draw at Liversedge. In game Keegan Green, Harry Lovick, McCauley Snelgrove and Amir Berchil. 

The game started with neither side really created any clear cut chances. Josh Whiteley picked up the ball in his own half and drove at the Pocklington defence. The energetic attacker saw his cross held by the Pocklington keeper. Josh Whiteley would give the Villagers the lead. A ball over the Pocklington defence from captain Niall Tilsley found Whiteley who took one touch before finishing cleverly with an outside the boot shot. The hosts would level before the half. The Pocklington attacker finding space before finishing at Tom Jackson’s front post. 

The Villagers would take the lead through substitute Tom Corner. Good build up play from the Villagers resulted in Keegan Green finding space down the right hand side. Green played a great cross into the Pocklington area and Tom Corner rose highest to head home. The Villagers now await to see whether they will face Bridlington Town or Sculcoates in the final.
