In a highly competitive game at the Dransfield Stadium, it was Dunston who would take the three points. In a battle between two play off chasing sides, Jack Maskell’s goal proved to be the difference. 

The first half was cagey with neither side created many clear cut chances. Tom Jackson was the first goalkeeper to be called into action and produced a good save with his feet. The visitors would take the lead on twenty five minutes. A well delivered corner from Phil Turnbull found Jack Maskell and the attacker was able to head in from close range. Sado Djalo came close for the visitors as he hit his shot from the edge of the area just wide. The Villagers grew into the game and found themselves up against a resolute defence who kept heading away the Ferriby crosses into the area as the first half came to a close. 

The Villagers could count themselves unlucky in the second half as they created the clearer opportunities. Josh Whiteley did well down the left hand side and his low ball into the area just evaded Danny Earl. Josh Whiteley came close to levelling but Dan Staples produced a great save. Josh Whiteley was played in down the left and his low ball found Tom Corner who unable to find the back of the net. Tom Jackson produced a good save to deny Wayne Phillips.
