North Ferriby VS Brighouse Town

North Ferriby 2-0 Brighouse

(Tom Corner 15, Danny Earl 90)

North Ferriby FC scored a goal in each half to grab the three points. Tom Corner grabbed the first goal of the game. Debutant Harry Lovick played a well delivered free kick into the Brighouse area. The ball hit the head of a player in the crowded box and the ball crashed off the post. The ball hit Tom Corner and hit the back of the net. The Villagers were comfortable and efforts from McCauley Snelgrove and Tom Corner nearly doubled the hosts lead before the break. The hosts thanked returning goalkeeper Tim Jackson who made a crucial save to keep the visitors at bay. Moments later Danny Earl would score the vital second. Earl latched into a clearance and raced towards goal. Brighouse keeper Jamie Hassall got hands on the ball, but it was not enough as the ball rippled the Brighouse net.
