Match Report

North Ferriby VS Ashington Fc

It was a game of two halves at the Dransfield Stadium as Ashington came out 5-0 winners. All goals from the away side in the second half.   The Villagers did all but score in the first half. Josh Dennett had a great chance but fired just wide. Levi Tarbotton had a great opportunity when he went round Ashington goalkeeper Karl Dryden. Tarbotton saw his shot blocked by an Ashington defender on the line. The Villagers were punished for not taking their chances. Wilson Kneeshaw opened the scoring when a shot was blocked on route to the goal and he has space and time to finish past Douglas. Kneeshaw doubled his sides lead when he slotted past an on rushing Jordan Douglas. Connor Thomson was played through and slotted past Douglas for an Ashington third.

The visitors were awarded a penalty when Danny East fouled in the area. Thomson stepped up and scored. The fifth goal came from a Jack Johnson own goal from an Ashington corner.
