Match Report
North Ferriby VS Winterton Rangers
North Ferriby FC overcame nine-man Winterton 3-0 at the Dransfield. Both sides looked to get a foothold in the game early with chances coming from both sides. The visitors saw their first dismissal come when Clay Bryant was deemed to have committed a dangerous challenge. The Villagers took the lead when a good cross was delivered by Amir Berchil. Tom Corner was there to head past Nathan Popple. The first half ended with a second yellow card for Steve Ridley.
The Villagers added a second when the impressive Joel Shortland hit a powerful shot towards the Winterton goal. Poor goalkeeping by Popple followed as he could only parry the ball out to the feet of Danny Clarke, who fired into the goal. Clarke’s goal meaning he has scored at every level in non-league for the Villagers.
The hosts would find their third goal through Danny Earl. Josh Dennett clipped a ball into the box. Tom Corner was there to chest the ball down to Danny Earl who finished past Popple.
North Ferriby boss Chris Bolder spoke about his side's performance after the game, “we were fortunate in how the game panned out with the sending's off, we started a bit shaky, and we can be thankful for our goalkeeper making some top saves but ultimately when we got the man advantage, we controlled the game really well”.
