Match Report
North Ferriby VS Hull City
North Ferriby FC wrapped up their pre season home campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Hull City Academy. Two Hull City goals in the second half proved the difference.
The Villagers opened the scoring through Tom Corner. Danny Earl showed excellent pace to get past Hull City left back Ajay Weston. Earl produced a quality cross to find Tom Corner who fired a shot into to roof of the net.
The Villagers survived a scare just moments later as Jim Simms found himself in a good position. Simms saw his strike rattle off the bar and bounce off the line.
However the visitors would soon equalise. The Tigers pounced on possession and built up down the left. A low cross into the Ferriby box was converted by Trialist A.
Ferriby looked to gain back their lead. Omar Sanyang coming close with an effort from outside the area which just went wide.
The Tigers took the lead just after the interval. A clever pass found Nathan Tinsdale who finished past Jackson.
The Villagers nearly levelled when Danny Earl found space behind the Hull defence. His pass across the box nearly picked out Danny Buttle, but a Hull defender just did enough to put the winger off.
The visitors would make it three with a chip over Lewis Exall.
After the game, Chris Bolder gave his reaction, “it was a brilliant game for us, on Saturday we had large spells of possession and dominated the game, tonight was all about what we did without the ball and I thought our shape was really good. Overall we are pleased with what we have got out of the game tonight”.
The Villagers will wrap up their pre season campaign this Saturday, as they travel to face Basford United.
