North Ferriby VS England Deaf Team

North Ferriby FC defeated the England Deaf National Team 7-1 at the Dransfield on Saturday. The Villagers welcomed the National Side in a great occasion for the club and its supporters. Chris Bolder’s side blew their visitors away in the second half in a rainy East Yorkshire.

The Villagers opened the scoring from a move that started with goalkeeper Lewis Exall. The ball found its way down the left with a ball over the defence. Omar Sanyang advanced with the ball before looking to pass. Sanyang’s pass was blocked by an England defender. The ball fell to Amir Berchil who put the ball home.

The hosts would double their lead when a free kick was delivered into the area. Tom Corner was there to glance a header past the keeper.

Chris Bolder’s side would add a third when the impressive Amir Berchil delivered from the left. Tom Corner couldn’t meet the cross, but Danny Earl could at the back post. Earl hit an effort goalwards but before it could go over the line and an England defender hit it past his own keeper.

Another own goal would make it four for the Villagers. A low cross into the area was directed goalwards as the defender looked to clear.

The Villagers would make it five not long after. Good build up play from Bolder’s side was not dealt with by England and Omar Sanyang was on hand to hit a low effort in.

The Villagers made it six through Amir Berchil. A lovely, chipped ball to Josh Dennett allowed the full back to hit a low cross which found Berchil who bagged his second of the game.

Omar Sanyang would score his second of the game and his sides seventh. A pass out from the substitute keeper was intercepted by Sanyang who finished smartly after a one two with Tom Corner

England would get themselves on the scoreboard and were rewarded for their perseverance as an England player rose highest at a corner to head past Jackson.

After the game Chris Bolder gave his thoughts, “we’re grateful for the National Team coming to us. It was a great game, for the first 35 minutes it was super competitive and then we’ve got a few goals in the second half and pulled away to make the scoreline bigger”.
