It’s yet another Northern Premier League East Division fixture as Chris Bolder’s North Ferriby FC return to the Dransfield Stadium for the second time in five days as they host another of the league North-Eastern sides, Ashington.

Following the villagers impressive midweek victory, Chris Bolder’s side will search for an eight league victory of the season of which would be their second on home turf. Hailing from the North-East, Ashington are without a win in seven league fixtures having accumulated eight points in twelve games.

After securing a fourteenth placed finish at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign, Ashington have seemingly struggled in the Northern Prem thus far, down in 20th fourteen places shy of the villagers with eight points from twelve games, and only nil wins in their last five games. Their opening game against Ossett United ended in a 1-1 draw on the road.

Since then, they have accumulated two league victories including a two-nil defeat of Bradford Park Avenue amongst a second of two draws. Having being knocked out of the FA Cup and the FA Trophy by Bishop Aukland and Congletom respectively, it’s all league now for Saturday’s visitors who fell to a 2-3 home defeat at the hands of Pontefract Collieries on Tuesday.
