Preview Report:

North Ferriby VS Grimsby Borough

It’s yet another midweek and Northern Premier League East Division fixture as Chris Bolder’s North Ferriby FC return to the Dransfield Stadium for the first local derby of the season as they host, Grimsby Borough.

With a view on putting  Saturday’s result behind them, the villagers search for a return to winning ways following two straight defeats. Hailing from the opposing side of the Humber, Grimsby will be no easy feat to overcome as they themselves search for the win having only won one of their previous five.

After securing an eleventh placed finish at the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign, Grimsby Borough have once again took to life life in the Northern Prem so far, up in 7th just one place shy of the villagers with eighteen points from twelve games, and only one win in their last five games. Their opening game against Newly promoted Emley AFC ended in a 0-1 defeat on home turf.

Since then, they have accumulated five league victories including a five-nil drubbing of Ossett United amongst a hand full of draws. Having being knocked out of the FA Cup and the FA Trophy by Anstey Nomads and Chasetownrespectively, it’s all league now for Tuesday’s visitors who fell to a 1-3 home defeat at the hands of Garforth Town on Saturday.
