North Ferriby VS Stocksbridge Park Steels
North Ferriby FC host Stocksbridge Park Steels at the Dransfield Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Villagers will be looking to bounce back from Easter Monday’s defeat at Bridlington Town. The Villagers had levelled the scores through Harry Lovick, but fell to a second half Bridlington winner. The defeat leaves the Villagers five points off the play off spaces with four games to play. Chris Bolder spoke about his sides defeat at Bridlington, “we are hugely disappointed. We are dejected after seeing an amazing turnout from our fanbase, to put in a performance the way we did. I know we had two games in a short period of time but it’s the same for them. We didn’t cause them any problems and in both boxes they showed more quality than us”.
In Stocksbridge, the Villagers face a side who sit in 15th place. Last time out they defeated Pontefract 1-0. The Villagers last met Stocksbridge back in November. Levi Tarbotton’s first half goal was enough to secure the three points for the Villagers.
Chris Bolder spoke about Saturdays game, “They were a very strong side when we played them away. We’re going to have to pick ourselves up because there’s a lot of tired and disappointed bodies. We’ve got four games left and we’ve got to keep going”.
