Preview Report:
North Ferriby VS Consett
North Ferriby Fc host Consett Town at the Dransfield Stadium on Saturday. The Villagers will be looking to bounce back from back to back defeats. The last of these defeats came at the Dransfield last Saturday at the hands of Liversedge. The West Yorkshire outfit running out 2-0 winners. The defeat means it is now a run if four without a league win for the Villagers. Chris Bolder gave his thoughts after the game, “Liversedge were a much better team than we were. They dealt with the conditions well and produced a lot more quality in certain areas. We tried a few things and tweaked things because the last few performances haven’t been levels that we require. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the desired outcome”.
The Villagers host a Consett side who sit in ninth place. Like the Villagers, they will be hoping they can provide some pressure to the sides in and around the play off positions with a victory. Consett suffered a heavy defeat at Sheffield on Tuesday night. They left South Yorkshire with a 5-0 defeat.
The two sides met back in October. Consett came out as 3-1 winners. Tom Corner opening the scoring, but the Villagers couldn’t hold onto their lead.
Bolder spoke about his sides recent run of form, “we’ve got to stick together, this is the squad we’ve put together and assembled. They’ve performed really well at times this season; we’ve seen what they can achieve when everyone is at it. Unfortunately, the last couple of weeks we’ve just fallen short”.
