Preview Report:
North Ferriby VS
Brighouse Town
North Ferriby FC will finally return to action this weekend as they host Brighouse at the Dransfield Stadium. The Villagers have not played a competitive fixture since they travelled to Sheffield FC on November 25th. Chris Bolder’s side have seen their last three fixtures fall to the recent bad weather. Chris Bolder spoke about the frustration not having a game for so long, “It’s been a frustrating period with us having the last three games postponed so we are really looking forward to our home game on Saturday”.
Bolder has seen some benefits to the break, “the little break has allowed us to work on a few things in training as well as giving more time for us to allow Louis Kirk and Tom Jackson to get closer to a return”.
The Villagers have faced Brighouse already this season. In their first away game of the season, the Villagers played out a 3-3 draw in West Yorkshire. The Villagers finished the game with ten men. Brighouse currently sit in 15th place in the table. Bolder spoke about the match up, “It was a scrappy game last time on a poor surface, but we saw the threats that Brighouse will bring so we need to be ready for that. However, on our pitch we need to ensure we assert our game plan on them and start to look to put a run together over this festive period”.
