Preview Report:

Carlton Town VS North Ferriby

North Ferriby FC’s league campaign continues as they travel to Carlton Town on Saturday. Chris Bolder’s side will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season. The Villagers fell 4-0 to league leaders Belper on Tuesday. The Villagers put in a promising performance against one of the league’s most fancied sides. Chris Bolder offered his thoughts on the game, “the first half was two very good teams, and a very close affair. There was plenty of good football on show. Belper’s quality showed towards the end. We started to push looking to get to ourselves back in the game. We are proud of things we did but the score line doesn’t look great”.

Carlton will be another stern test for the Villagers. The Nottinghamshire based side have taken maximum points from their three games. They defeated Winteron 2-1 on Wednesday night. Last season, Carlton finished in 17th place, just one place above the relegation play-off spot.

The games are coming thick and fast for Bolder and his side. Bolder spoke on how his side will manage with the demands, “we’ve got no time to feel sorry for ourselves. We knew this league would be extremely tough and very demanding. On Tuesday we played a team that will be title contenders and made a good account of ourselves. We’re going into another tough game on Saturday against a side that’s started the season very well”.

The Villagers learnt their opponents for the next round of the FA cup. They will travel to Prescott Cables.

Josh Morrall will miss the Carlton game due to suspension.
