Preview Report:
Liversedge VS
North Ferriby
FA Cup Preliminary Round
North Ferriby Fc take a break from league action as they continue their FA cup journey. The Villagers travel to fellow Northern Premier League Division One East side Liversedge.
Chris Bolder’s side needed a late rally to overcome Crook Town in the last round.
The Villagers have made an unbeaten start to their young league campaign. Two games in, the Villagers have four points. Last time out, the Villagers drew 3-3 with Brighouse Town. The contest was played in appalling conditions, especially in the second half. The Villagers ended the game with ten men. Bolder’s side held the lead at half time. Chris Bolder reflected on the game, “it was an awful game of football, one of the worst games of football we’ve been involved in in a long time. It was disappointing to concede the goal we did, the positive out of the game is that the situation we found ourselves in, we will look at it as a good point”.
Liversedge were relegated from the Northern Premier League at the end of last season. The West Yorkshire side have made a slow start to the new campaign . Liversedge have been beaten 3-0 in both their league games. They made headlines in the off season with the signing of Ross McCormack. The former Leeds, Cardiff and Fulham striker has made two appearances off the bench so far.
Bolder will be hoping his side can reach the next round of the cup. The game at Liversedge will match the clubs longest run in the cup since reforming in 2019.
