Preview Report:
Garforth Town VS
North Ferriby
North Ferriby FC travel to Garforth Town looking to maintain their 100% start in the league.
The Villagers have won their opening four games and go into their clash with Garforth after a resilient 1-0 victory over Maltby Main. A late goal from Danny Buttle was enough to secure the three points for Chris Bolder’s side.
It was a good response from Bolder’s side who had seen themselves knocked out of the FA Cup and FA Vase in their two games precious. Bolder made five changes from his sides defeat at FC St Helens.
When asked about his sides ability to bounce back, Bolder said, “we had disappointing results coupled with disappointing performances. We shook things up and utilised the squad. Players need to be chomping at the bit to challenge for starting places. Overall, it was a pleasing way to bounce back”. The Villagers welcomed back Liam Nelthorpe to the starting line-up for the first time since October.
In Garforth, the Villagers face a side that currently sit in 13th place. Paul Marshall’s side have six points from their six games. Last time out they secured a point away at Barton. Charlie Marshall putting his side ahead before a Barton equaliser in the second half. Last season Garforth finished third, just two points behind Eccleshill in the promotion playoff spot. The aforementioned Marshall is the goal threat the Villagers will need to watch. Marshall currently has four goals this season.
