Preview Report:
North Ferriby VS
Parkgate
After last weeks euphoria of their great FA Vase win over Northwich Victoria, North Ferriby return to league action this weekend. They take on Parkgate in another Northern Counties East League fixture at the Dransfield which again has sold out.
Ferriby managed to get two fixtures in against their Rotherham based opponents last season with a 3-0 win away. They had previously welcomed Parkgate to the Dransfield with a Jamie Forrester goal giving the Villagers a 1-0 win.
Ferriby manager Chris Bolder knows how the uncertainty of this division works but will have a squad confident of a win after their Northwich exploits of seven days ago. He will be looking for his side to maintain their great form and move further up the table from their current fifth place.
“Parkgate have had some thing of a weird start with a couple of wins before a heavy defeat at Winterton a couple of weeks ago so we take nothing for granted,” said Bolder.
“This is the unpredictability of this league with teams not being able to put winning runs together and getting tripped up. This is something we have to guard against when we come up against teams like Parkgate.
“That said we are playing at home and we have a strong squad who put in a tremendous performance last Saturday to beat Northwich. Confident is super high and the manner of Saturday’s victory sums up the way we can play and are playing at the moment.
Parkgate are 13th in the table having won their two home games against WorsboroughBridge (4-0) and Selby Town (4-3). They then suffered a heavy defeat 6-0 at Winterton Rangers and a 3-1 defeat at Hallam last weekend.
North Ferriby Football Club continue to have in pace measures to combat Covid 19 so there could be a slight delay for entry to the ground. As usual all visitors to The Dransfield on Saturday will be required to scan our QR code available at both the turnstile gates and clubhouse entrance.
