Preview Report:

North Ferriby VS Dronfield Town

North Ferriby will look to put behind them a last minute defeat at Emley in midweek when they return to the Dransfield Stadium on Saturday to take on Dronfield Town. The Villagers go into this game looking for back to back home wins after beating Hall Road Rangers 3-1 last Saturday.

Ferriby will be looking to stop leaking late goals like the 92nd minute one which was a 1-0 defeat to Emley on Tuesday. Manager Chris Bolder knows this is something which needs to be fixed and concentration levels need to be maintained for the full game.

“I was incredibly disappointed we conceded yet another late goal against a strong and experienced Emley side,” said Bolder.

“The thing was we controlled and created the proceedings especially in the open 45 minutes so this was the disappointing aspect to the game. In the second half they used their experience which turned it into a battle and which disrupted our flow.

“We take on Dronfield on Saturday but it is all about what we do as we need to get our own house in order and convert our chances. That said we also need to have full concentration for the duration of the game and stop conceding late goals.”

Dronfield travel to the Dransfield in 14th place in the table and started the season well winning 3-1 at one of last seasons frontrunners Skegness Town. However their recent performances have seen a 3-0 home defeat by Swallownest and a 5-2 defeat at league leaders Campion.

Ferriby still have injury concerns over Liam Nelthorpe (knee) and Jamie Forrester who picked up a leg injury against Hall Road. Louis Kirk took an elbow to the face at Emley and will be assessed but there could be a first start of the season for striker Leigh Hutchinson.

This game is all ticket and is limited to a capacity of 300 with supporters required to support the new NHS Covid-19 App. All visitors to The Dransfield on Saturday will therefore be required to scan our QR code available at both the turnstile gates or clubhouse entrance.
