Preview Report:
Retford FC VS North Ferriby
North Ferriby FC travel to Retford this weekend to continue their quest for promotion from the Northern Counties East Division One. The Villagers are looking to make it seven games unbeaten a run stretching back to November when they lost 1-0 at home to Winterton Rangers.
In the corresponding fixture between the two sides Retford left the Dransfield Stadium with a point after a 0-0 draw back in early September. Ferriby are currently in fifth two league places and one point ahead of their hosts but the visitors do have four games in hand.
A win would see the Villagers keep pace with the leading pack with Winterton leading the table nine points clear of the local side. Ferriby will then play three league games all at home and winning them will certainly give them a big say in the final league standings.
Last time out Ferriby took a 1-0 lead through a Tom Corner effort at Worsborough Bridge but were pegged back to leave with a share of the spoils. They had late chances to win it but were not able to come up with the goods.
